Victorian mahogany box of casket form with finely carved top. Single interior compartment that has signs of being sub-divided at some stage in the past (but the sub-divisions look unlikely to have been original). Working lock and key. Green baize to underside.

The beautifully carved top marks this box out as unusual. Some signs of minor historical repairs but overall the great colour and patination of the wood make this a stylish box that is a cut above the average.
