Turned wooden bowl with a silver rim and silver shield cartouche with engraved initials. Accompanied by horn spoon with silver tip and cartouche (with same initials as bowl). All silver items marked with "S", "925" and makers stamp for William Dunningham & Co of Aberdeen. circa 1910.
The bowl is a pleasingly light colour and goes well with the horn spoon. Some minor marks to the silver rim on the bowl.
William Dunningham & Co of Diamond Street, Aberdeen was in business from the 1890s to the 1960s and specialised in the manufacturer of horn pieces embellished with silver. The marks on these items are typical of pieces made in or soon after 1910.
