Watercolour of Nepalese boy by Scottish Artist Rob Fairley (1953-). Robert Fairley is a portrait and landscape artist known for his stunning sketches and paintings of Scotland, Nepal and India.
Enchanting watercolour executed with the deft light touch that Fairley is known for. Signed "Fairley 93".
After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 1975, Rob briefly moved to Moidart, where he enjoyed nearly four years as the sole human inhabitant of a remote island. Life on the island enabled him to embrace an exploratory approach to art-making and its effect on the environment. He held the position of Artist in Residence at Room 13 Caol Primary from 1994 – 2005, and continues to pass on his conviction for fine art and philosophical enquiry as the basis for all education through his role as trustee of the now international network of Room 13 studios.
