The second drawing is labelled verso as "Captain, Review Order 1900 The Ayrshire Yeomanry". Both signed "Anderson" and with the artist‘s Glasgow address at the time printed verso as well.
Simple but charming pictures of the Ayrshire Yeomanry and their changing uniform style and modes of transport in the 20th century.
The Ayrshire (Earl of Carrick‘s Own) Yeomanry was a Regiment of the British Yeomanry and is now an armoured Squadron of the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry (SNIY), part of the British Army Reserve. It is the Lowlands of Scotland‘s only Royal Armoured Corps Unit and has an unbroken history stretching back to the 1790s.
Condition Note: Unframed. The drawing board is glued to the white framing mountboard.
