Finely painted Chinese sparrow beak jug made for the export market showing a lady seated at her table with servants in famille rose palette in what is known as the ‘Mandarin’ pattern. Diaper pattern and cartouches by the handle. This would have had a lid, hence the unglazed area to the inner rim.
The painting is in excellent condition with no wear to the gilding. The handle has a crack towards the base and there is the finest hairline to the rim.
