Thomas Henry Gibb, was a Victorian artist, born c. 1833, in Alnwick, Northumberland, where he lived for the majority of his life. He was the father of the well known artist Henry William Phelan Gibb 1870-1948. In 1881, he was listed in the census as an Artist and Bailiff of the Alnwick County Council.
He exhibited in the 1880s at the Arthur Tooth Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Hibernian Academy. He was best known for his paintings of Highland lochs and lakeland scenes, often with cattle or other animals.
