Vintage Mahogany Snooker / Billiard Score Board By E J Riley Limited Of Accrington, Mid 20th Century

E J Riley was formed in 1878 by Edward John Riley left his position at a bank to open a sports shop. The firm moved to its Accrinton premises in 1898. By the turn of the century they were the largest manufacturer of cricket bats in the world and by 1902 they were challenging to be the largest maker of billiard tables in Britain. The Riley Aristocrat Table was the official and exclusive table used for all World Snooker Ranking Tournaments in 1992 and this continued until the 2009/2010 season.
