Buff coloured boards with grey-green lettering to the front board and spine; full colour pictorial paste-on set within a blind stamped frame on front board. First published by Frederick Warne and Co in October 1911. With Johnny Town-mouse end papers and no published date.
Slight bumping to one corner. Otherwise, the condition is very good. No dust cover.
Timmy Tiptoes was written for the American market and features an eastern grey squirrel, a species exported from America to Britain, and flourishing here around 1900. It was unlikely Potter saw the animals in the woods around Hill Top as they had yet to become established in the Lake District.
