Vintage Anatolian Hand Embroidered Kilim Rug, Mid-20th century

An uncommon flatweave rug on wool foundations from the southern Caucasus or eastern Turkey. This one is hand embroidered in a diagonal geometric pattern around a central square in red, black and brown wools on a dark grey flat-woven kilim.
