Four double lipped, hand-blown lead crystal wine rinsers with a notch cut rim above a band of diamond and flute cuts. These rinsers are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
The wine-glass cooler was a miniature version of the Monteith, used to rest glasses from notches in the rim. The purpose was to cool the glasses before serving wine and for rinsing them between courses. This form is late Georgian. These rinsers make wonderful vases for holding low arrangements of flowers on a dining room table.
