The pepper pot is in very good condition with no dents or splits. It has its original blue glass liner, which has no chips or cracks.
The firm was founded in Birmingham by William Hair Haseler in around 1848. In 1897 the Haseler Brothers opened a London office at Hatton Garden and acted in partnership with Liberty & Co for the manufacture of the Cymric range of silverware. They amalgamated with J. Thomason & Nephews (John Thomason) in 1906 and continued as Thomason & Haseler Brothers Ltd.
