Early 20th Century Oval Hardwood Shaker Style Basket or Tray

Early 20th Century hardwood basked made in the American shaker style of New England. Most shaker baskets use a single piece of steamed hardwood to created the base surround but this one unusually uses two pieces of bent wood joined on either side of the oval where the handle meets the base.

An interesting basket of less commonly seen form in good condition with a nice age worn colour.
