18th Century English Violin with Case and Bow, c. 1760

Fine 18th century English violin, faintly labelled: “Made in…at the Harp…”, with a 20th century brazilwood bow with mother of pearl details in a modern polycarbonate contoured violin case with blue velvet lining.

Provenance: This violin was Lot 25 at Christie‘s South Kensington Musical Instruments Sale on 2nd November 2005 (see last 3 photographs).
