Elizabeth Amour was a Glasgow Girl, attending the Glasgow School of Art from 1908 to 1912. She settled in Edinburgh where she set up the Bough Pottery, which continued until 1942. Like Jessie M King, she bought blanks from various sources which she decorated and glazed herself. She was joined by her brother Richard, and later by Christine Amour.
