Victorian Mahogany Box With Carved Floral Motifs to Top, Late 19th Century

late 19th Century Victorian mahogany box with carved floral motifs. The central round area has box honeysuckle with nasturtium, rose, clover and grape vines in the quarter panels around it.

Carving is well executed with crisp and deep outlines to the flowers enhanced by the attractive wear patination to some of the raised elements. Box is in good clean condition inside and out. Lock is non functional.
